Carteret Writers, Inc. was born in Carteret County,

North Carolina, over 25 years ago and is a 501 (c)3

charitable, non-profit organization with three goals:   


                                      *Promote the art of writing

                *Cultivate camaraderie among writers

                               *Collaborate with other organizations to foster
                                 an understanding and appreciation of writing and writers
Founded in 1983, Carteret Writers is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to cultivating camaraderie between writers and promoting the art of writing.  Besides monthly meetings held on the second Tuesday of the month September through November and January through April at Golden Corral in Morehead City, smaller genre critique group meetings are available to members. In December we have our holiday party/meeting and in May we host an awards dinner for our contest winners.
