Well-known author and workshop presenter Linda Rohrbough
will present an overview of novel development and various systems or
"tools" fiction writers use to develop novel elements such as plot,
characterization, and subplots as well as tools to edit a completed novel. The
tools also apply to shorter works of fiction and save time for both novice and
experienced writers.
The workshop includes a detailed overview of the novel
development cycle and the various "tools" writers use for growing a
novel including
- various plotting grids
- story line development tracking tools
- character arc development
worksheets
- character development grids
- subplot development utensils.
Linda will also offer examples of various editing tools for
smoothing the rough spots once a novel is complete. These tools are not only
useful for creating a novel, but for doing revisions to a finished manuscript
if you are asked to do so by a publishing house buying the work.
Linda Rohrbough has been writing since 1989, and
has more than 5,000 articles and seven books to her credit including fiction
and non-fiction. Her books have won numerous awards and been translated into
over a dozen languages. Her energy and enthusiasm are infectious!
This is a rare opportunity to attend one of Linda’s
workshops without paying far more for a full day at a writer’s conference. Refreshments
